The Study of Proverbs PART 1

Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

The earth was designed with wisdom of God. God used wisdom. That was given by the term 'founded'. When we speak of design, we speak of foundations. Here God has laid the foundation. Actually understanding has been the vital element in employing forces in order to accomplish actually, what has been proposed in the design. Wisdom proposes; understanding disposes. God used wisdom and employed understanding, to be put in short.

Proverbs 8:18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

Actually, God doesn't give away riches and money. He enables you to act in a way that you are put in a path which leads to riches. Hence this gives a clear idea of how God gives riches to a person. The interesting part is that, the terms durable riches and righteousness are included in the same verse. Another translation says 'durable' as 'long-lasting'. Well, God can give you away a rich man to help you, but how can He make you use it fully? I believe it should be wisdom that enables to do so. Righteousness in wealth? Could that mean not anybody eating away your labour? Could be! Hence it would be wise to consider converting your wealth into durable wealth through the righteousness of Jesus!

Proverbs 24:14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

When you find something to be wise, hold on to it - that's what this verse claims. Getting wisdom is not the point spoken of here, it is 'kmowledge of wisdom'. Hence it is good for your soul. There is a reward waiting to him that hears and his expectations are not refused.

Proverbs 24:17-18 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

If your enemy falls, you have to keep quiet. It is not on you part to give a lecture on righteousness and wisdom or say,"Did I not tell you before itself?", etc. Probably that fall can be an opportunity for the concerned person to understand himself and use it for making God's punishment not applicable for him. In other words, God may permit to leave people in some situations within the limits of their understanding and correcting possibilities.

Prov 25:28 He that has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

This refers to an evil spirit. Sometimes it can be attributed to anger. Hence these alien things allows security to crumble. It could have known to people the concept which Jesus spoke of demonic re-entry in Matthew 12: 43-45. Better rule the spirit and also control anger, as to keep the spiritual security tight! It could also apply to loose talking and others.

Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

The translation of the WEB Bible is apt. It says about a person thinking himself to be wise. It is good to expect something wiser than that of ours. It is a safe way to keep stagnation away.

Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

If you fight with a fool, you'll loose your peace. You may laugh or get angry, but there is simply no peace!

Proverbs 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

When you realise you have acted foolishly, the Bible advises you to 'keep quiet'.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Are you preferred among many, are you beautiful? It is better to fear the LORD, as according to the Bible.

The Law of Stagnation

This is an interesting topic which is added to those who believe in this group.

Well, stagnation is something which leads someone into a state of complexity, when things do not go in their way, as they planned or as others have planned for them.

The ultimate motive of this topic is that: fight stagnation with the necessary tools like wisdom, word of God, etc.

This could be the breakthrough you waited for long enough!

If there is some way out in order to keep life going as a smooth and hinder-free one, that is what we aim for. The entire blog can be taken for in the same attitude for that matter. Getting the concept out is what matters most.

What will you do when you get high tension?

What will you do when your boss gets really angry on your face?

What happens if your children scream all day long, when you've decided to read a book for the day?

What happens when your wife hits on your head with a vessel?

I've listed some stagnation points for different people. You may add more, if you want.
The solution should be somewhere in the Bible. There are people who got stuck in the Bible, and some who got delivered. Some got stuck by themselves, while others got stuck by someone else. The ultimate goal is to set one free. We shall discuss about that.
This is one serious subject, I think, as we move forward in our day-to-day life. Moreover, one can share his/her experiences in order to deliver somebody else from getting stuck.

SOME GENERAL ASPECTS WHICH GETS PEOPLE TO BE 'STUCK':

FEAR Fear is one thing which brings considerable stagnation in one's life. People have lost
relationships, money, contracts, etc., due to unwanted fear. Some have fear for different things.

ANGER If some people get angry, the entire day for them gets off. They take some pills or do something to ease away their stress. There should be better ways through the Bible.

More to come later on.

This article will be revised from time to time. This needs tremendous prayer and active participation with respect to giving one's own life-experiences.

The study of Job

Well, we see that Job was a man who enjoyed much of God's security in the Old Testament period. I do not know when this happened, but we cannot include those of the New testament to come into these.

       Job was protected by God.
Job 1:10 Have not you made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side?

Satan says that God has 'made an hedge' for Job. By that he means security. If God ca make a hedge around anyone, it cannot be beaten by the devil.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears God, and eschews evil?

Job enjoyed the consideration of God. He was upright, hence was in good books of God. We see also that he feared God. The minimum of fear of God is atleast enough to give security towards critical issues in life, I believe. Job eschews (turns away from) evil. He fears God consciously and also he gets away from trouble. So, twin protection! He will not be affected by his iniquity, provided not get into that of others.  I've  heard of some who purchase others' iniquity.

Could the study of Job give us answers regarding 1. Security, 2. Prosperity & 3. Abundant grace?

Now that I have started this discussion, anybody interested can continue in this topic. Well, if it is interesting, we can launch into a full-fledged study! I want you readers to enter a prayer request in the form given, as to see whether we receive breakthroughs. This we expect as we have started a study of the Word of God!
